The City of Paducah Planning Department along with the Southside Steering Committee is hosting a Town Hall focusing on Public Art in the Walter Jetton Neighborhood. It will be March 14 at Nehemiah Christian Church located at 636 Walter Jetton Boulevard at Ohio Street. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Town Hall at 6 p.m.
The Town Hall will be facilitated by members of the Paducah Historical Preservation Group (PHPG) and the Planning Department. The City is partnering with PHPG to engage with residents and local artists and to connect with the neighborhood’s vision and local history.
This event will contain activities that explore types of public art and possible locations for art within the Walter Jetton area. A Public Art Policy under development by the Creative and Cultural Council also will be discussed.
