Veterans Day Opening Ceremony and Parade

The Veterans Day Opening Ceremony was held November 11 at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza. The ceremony recognized the winners of the Daughters of American Revolution Essay and Poster Contest and the 2022 Distinguished Veteran and Patriot Award winners.

The Veterans Day Parade was held at 11 a.m. on November 11. The parade began at Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza, travelled along South 6th Street until Broadway and then headed toward the riverfront on Broadway.
