The City of Paducah is working with local food truck vendors to provide a lunchtime experience in downtown Paducah each Thursday through September.  Starting tomorrow, one or more food trucks will be parked from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. next to Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza.

Mayor George Bray said, “Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza is a beautiful City park adjacent to City Hall, McCracken County Courthouse, McCracken County Public Library, and several law firms.  I encourage the community to enjoy time outside for lunch and be amazed by the delicious food offered by our local food truck vendors.”

This Thursday, The Coney Express will be providing nachos and Koegel’s hotdogs and Polish sausages.

If a food truck vendor would like to be included, please contact Customer Experience at 270-444-8800.  A food truck vendor must have an annual permit issued through the Planning Department, a City of Paducah business license, and a satisfactory inspection by the Fire Prevention Division.

Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza is located at 301 South 5th Street between Paducah City Hall and the McCracken County Courthouse.  The Plaza encompasses one square city block.  There are four memorials in the park recognizing veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Global War on Terrorism.  The plaza, formerly known as the City Plaza, was renamed Dolly McNutt Plaza in May 1986 to honor former Mayor Dolly McNutt for her service as City Commissioner, Mayor, and state legislator.
